Georges Helfer SA builds new warehouse at Rungis

After completing the first 11,841-square-foot expansion of its warehouse in the south of France in Plan d’Orgon, Georges Helfer SA, importer of fresh fruits from overseas, continues to grow. Indeed, the company has recently announced the construction of the COk building, its new industrial site of 49,858 square feet at Rungis. This will allow the development of its services thanks to a modernization of its industrial tool.

Georges Helfer also plans a further expansion of the warehouse in Plan d’Orgon in the coming months.

Located in the warehouse area next to the northern ring road, on the Avenue de la Villette, this new platform will allow the company to increase its activities of importing, storing, ripening, packaging and distributing fruits from overseas to France.

The importer Georges Helfer SA has been located at number 17 in the warehouse area of Rungis for more than 30 years. In recent years, the company’s activities have experienced a significant growth, also developing its services to wholesalers and distributors.

This strong growth was accentuated by the company’s capital increase with the appointment of Olivier Fakhri as the new CEO in 2018. Many business development and investment projects were put in place (arrival of new collaborators, increase of storage, ripening and packaging capacities in the warehouse of Plan d’Orgon). A development which is reflected in the quality level of the services, but also through the innovations in terms of packaging and machinery.

As part of this development, the construction of a new refrigerated logistic warehouse of 49,858 square feet will meet the industrial challenges of the company.

Georges Helfer SA is starting a new phase of its development with this construction, carried out in collaboration with Semmaris, manager of the International Market of Rungis. This new platform will be operational for the first trimester of 2020, as part of the Rungis 2025 investment plan, an expansion project which is fully in line with the mindset of Georges Helfer SA.
