Georges Helfer SA, importer and distributor of fresh, overseas fruits, announces the construction of its new industrial site in Rungis, with a total area of 4,632 m2, which will allow the development of its services.

It has to be noted that the first expansion of the company’s other warehouse based in the south of France in Plan d'Orgon has just been completed. The company will start a further enlargement of this warehouse in the coming months.

Located in the warehouse area adjacent to the circular north boulevard, on Avenue de la Villette, this new platform will allow the company to increase its import activities, storage, ripening, and distribution of overseas fruits in France.

The importer Georges Helfer SA has been based in I7, in the warehouse area of Rungis, for more than thirty years. Over the past few years, the company’s activities have experienced significant growth with the development of its services to wholesalers and retailers.

This strong growth was accentuated with the capital increase of the company following the appointment of Olivier Fakhri as Managing director of Georges Helfer SA in 2018. Several business development projects and investments have been implemented (arrival of new employees, expansion of storage, ripening and packaging capacities in Plan d'Orgon warehouse enlarged by 1100 m2). This development goes with the increase in quality of services with also several innovations in terms of packaging and machines.

As part of this development, the construction of a new 4,632 m2 refrigerated logistics warehouse will meet the company’s industrial challenges.

Georges Helfer SA is entering a new stage of its development with this construction in collaboration with Semmaris, Rungis international market operator. This new operational platform from the first quarter of 2020 is part of the investment plan Rungis 2025, whose objective of expansion is entirely in line with the approach of the company Georges Helfer SA.
