“After 4 years of conversion to organic farming, we now offer our clients a range of organic apples of the Gala, Golden, Granny, Braeburn and Club varieties,” explains Lucille Babuel, commercial manager at La Tour en Provence.
Specialized in apple growing, the company now sells an organic production. “Our orchards are located at the heart of the Provence, where they benefit from a highly favorable climate between Mont-Ventoux and the Luberon (Saint-Rémy, Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Cavaillon, Robion). By obtaining the biological certification, La Tour en Provence wanted to push its commitment to produce healthy and delicious fruits using production methods that are respectful of the environment and the biodiversity of its orchards.
Our quality service teams monitor rigorously and daily the quality of our products. Consequently, the planting of the orchards, growing and harvesting are carried out in compliance with the requirements of organic farming specifications.
The company’s will to convert to an organic production comes from a determination to adapt to the demands of the clientele. “We wanted to adapt to a growing demand from our clients for organic apples. It is very important for us to be able to satisfy all our customers and to adapt to the evolution of the market. We supply supermarkets, wholesalers, MIN and specialized markets all over France, and we sell about 20% of our production to export,” concludes Lucille.
