Swiss Brussels sprouts consumption is 210 grams per capita per year

In September, the sprouts begin in Switzerland. The main growing countries for these winter vegetables are still the Netherlands, Great Britain and France.

Bernese Seeland is the main growing area in Switzerland, accounting for 85% of total domestic production.

Last year, 1,252 tons of Brussels sprouts were grown in Switzerland and 550 tons were imported. The Swiss consume 210 grams of vegetables per capita per year.
