Six companies from the Region of Murcia, integrated in APOEXPA, will begin to export Spanish table grapes to China next week. The General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China communicated on Monday that it had officially authorized the entry of Spanish grapes to China and the companies directly contacted importers this week, within the framework of the Asia Fruit Logistica fair in Hong Kong.
Murcia's table grapes, which are present in the pavilion organized by the Institute of Foreign Trade, ICEX, the Institute of Development of the Region of Murcia, INFO and the Association of Exporting Producers of Fruits, and the Association of Producers and Exporters of Table Grapes and other Agricultural Products, APOEXPA, an association integrated in FEPEX, have become quite famous at this fair.
The companies that will begin exporting table grapes in the next few days are Moyca Grapes, Frutas Esther, Frutas Torero, El Ciruelo SA, Maripi SL, and Blancasol. Murcia's delegation at the Hong Kong fair also included the presence of Hortiberia, Gruventa, Hispagroup, Soummyt Fruits, and the multinational AMC Group, which showcased a large sample of other fruits, vegetables, and citrus from the region, stated the director of APOEXPA, Joaquin Gomez.
The rate at which the companies from Murcia will start exporting grapes to China, after the opening of this market, reflects the sectoral interest in diversifying markets and the long work carried out by producers to adapt to the requirements demanded by China, even before the protocol was officially approved, stated FEPEX. It is also a reflection of the work carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture to negotiate with Chinese authorities.
