BGP International Pty Ltd is pleased to announce an agreement to merge with Fresh Solutions Group Pty Ltd, an Australian owned fresh produce company.
Under the merger Fresh Solutions Group will acquire BGP as a wholly owned subsidiary. Fresh Solutions Group, while based in Australia, has a global focus with a comprehensive network of fresh produce suppliers that covers Australia, USA, South America and Asia with both import and export activity involving a wide range of fruits and vegetables.
The merger of these two significant companies will result in a stronger and enlarged group well positioned to continue to assist their extensive range of suppliers from United States, Australia, Egypt, South Africa Turkey and Pakistan in supplying customers throughout Australia, Asia, North America, India and the Middle East.
Neil Barker Chairman of BGP will continue his active role and assist in the integration of both companies over the next 2-3 years ensuring a smooth transition of suppliers and customers of BGP to the new and enlarged business created by this merger.
Neil Barker will also become a Director of Fresh Solutions Group to ensure his extensive experience in the industry over 35 years will be utilized to serve and protect the interests of the growers, packers and customers of both Companies.
Adam Leslie of Fresh Solutions Group will continue in his role as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the enlarged group and Prudence Barker currently CEO of BGP will become the Chief Operating Officer of both Fresh Solutions Group and BGP.
BGP will continue to operate under its own name as a separate entity and ensure its longstanding reputation and marketing performance will be maintained enabling both Fresh Solutions Group and BGP to continue to provide the highest level of service to both global suppliers and global customers.
