Grape harvesting is in full swing in late summer and Fruitsland is no exception. Quality is particularly interesting this year and the produce will be distributed on the international market.
Three seedless varieties - white Timpson®, red Sweet Celebration® and black Melody® - will satisfy the most demanding clients. They are all characterized by sweet notes, large grapes and excellent shelf-life. "Their flavor is so unique that they are considered premium varieties," explains owner Angelo Di Palma.
Timpson® was developed by breeder SNFL® and has an intense muscat flavor. Grapes are white and large (20-22 mm ca.) with a slight oblong shape and 18° Brix.
"It's a prestigious variety and, with its muscat notes, involves all five senses."
Sweet Celebration® developed by Californian breeder IFG-International Fruit Genetics® has a fruity sweet delicate flavor (19° Brix).
"We have started producing this variety this year and are already planning on extending the cultivated area." Feedback was great thanks to the deep color and excellent flavor.
Melody® was developed by breeder SNFL® and is a medium-late variety. Its large oblong grapes with a deep black color have a juicy flesh with a fruity aromatic flavor and 17° Brix.
"Demand is good for this variety as well, especially since it is the only black one available at the moment."
All varieties keep well in the fridge.
