Spain's biggest subtropical crop traders are based in the municipality of Velez-Malaga

Reyes Gutiérrez, one of Spain's main avocado and mango export companies, has expanded its facilities in the Parque Tecnoalimentario of the Costa del Sol-Axarquía, located in the municipality of Vélez-Málaga, with the acquisition of a new 3,174 square meter plot. This has required an investment of 411,480 Euro.

The subtropical crop trader has facilities in Rungis, France, and the new plot in the Parque Tecnoalimentario adds to another 2,097 square meter one that the company already had in the premises for its subsidiary Avomix, specialized in the manufacture of chilled guacamole and preservative-free fresh fruit drinks made from mangoes and avocados.

According to the Councilor of the Parque Tecnoalimentario, María José Roberto, there are many companies that are currently working to adapt and set their activities up on the premises. All the plots are sold and there is even a waiting list of companies interested in establishing themselves in the area.

The industrial complex has a capacity for a total of 39 companies and has an area of 186,000 square meters.
