Due to wet weather last week, the supply of ginger has reduced compared with the previous week. At the beginning of the week, buyers actively participated in purchasing activities, and the price remained at a stable level with slight increases. After mid-week, buyers became less active in making purchases. The market quieted down, and the price stayed at a stable level.
On the export front, export prices also dropped slightly, affected by weak prices in China. Export-oriented processing factories mainly get their supply from stocks, and there’s no notable increase in demand. It is expected that exports this week will maintain unchanged, having limited influence in improving prices and market situations.
According to analysts from China Ginger Net, with the prevalent high temperatures and more frequent rainy weather this summer, the volume of watery ginger and sprouting ginger increased. If not influenced by the weather conditions, it is expected that the supply will increase slightly this week. if there is no significant increase in the demand from buyers, prices may remain fluctuated.
