The Swiss based company, Andermatt Biocontrol, took 22% shareholding stake in the Argentinian company Agricheck SRL. Agricheck is a leading provider of biological solutions mainly in fruit production in Argentina.
Since 2007, Agricheck is distributing MADEX, the Cydia pomonella granulovirus manufactured by Andermatt Biocontrol. Andermatt Biocontrol specialises in the development and production of biological plant protection products, such as baculoviruses, and invested over the last decade in a worldwide distribution network, and in the access to a broad international product portfolio based on various microorganisms and basic substances.
Both companies are excited about the close partnership, as it will strengthen the longstanding collaboration of both partners and enables to invest in the development of a powerful portfolio of
biological solutions for Argentina's farmers.
