New Middle East-India-Africa express services

Hapag-Lloyd’s has welcomed its newest addition to the Africa product portfolio. At the beginning of October 2019, Hapag-Lloyd will introduce the MIAX Service (Middle East-India-Africa Express) which will offer weekly direct sailings between Arabian Gulf, India, Colombo, La Reunion, South Africa and West Africa.

These markets will be well linked to Hapag-Lloyd's Global Mainline Network via the ports of Jebel Ali and Colombo, offering competitive connectivity to all other markets.

The MIAX will be jointly operated with ONE composing of 9 x 2,800 TEU vessels with 5 ships being deployed by Hapag-Lloyd.

The rotation will be as follows :
Jebel Ali ▪ Mundra ▪ Nhava Sheva ▪ Colombo ▪ La Reunion* ▪ Durban ▪ Cape Town ▪ Tema ▪ Lagos (Tincan and Apapa) ▪ Cape Town ▪ Durban ▪ Jebel Ali.
