Prices of Chinese lychees return to normal

The overall production volume of lychee was much smaller than usual this year. The harvest season therefore finished around two weeks earlier than last year. The supply of lychees to the Jiaxing Fruit Market is less than half in comparison with last month. The harvest season is gradually coming to an end and supply is drying up.

The most common lychee variety currently in the market is the Lanzhu lychee from Fujian, closely followed by Vietnamese lychee. However, the supply of Vietnamese lychees is also running out. The supply of lychees from Fujian is about to end in a couple weeks. The current price currently lower than before.
