Last Wednesday, the presidents of Girona Fruits, Mr. Martí Ferre Pons, and of the PGI Poma de Girona, Mr. Llorenç Frigola Vidal, signed a collaboration and promotion agreement with the director of FEDEMCO (Spanish Federation of Wooden Packaging and its Components), D. Alberto Palmí, at the headquarters of Girona Fruits.
"With the signing of this agreement, we aim to promote the consumption of Poma de Girona, while selling the fruit in the best possible packaging; 100% recyclable, sustainable and environmentally-friendly," said Martí Ferre and Llorenç Frigola.
The purpose of this agreement is to establish a joint action plan with the participation of the organizations involved, with campaigns to promote the best commercial and health practices, both in the packaging and consumption of the Poma de Girona.
"The main objective is to guarantee the product's traceability in order to offer the best product to the consumer," they say.
Representing FEDEMCO, its director, Alberto Palmí, said that "an agreement has been reached to promote the best products in the best possible packaging."
