It's summertime, when watermelons become more popular, especially with children. So why not introduce a packaging developed especially for them? "Patrizio Fellini" has introduced mini-watermelons in small bags with colorful cartoons.
"The product is grown for us in Lesina (Puglia). Organoleptic qualities are excellent thanks to the high sugar level. Fruits are seedless with a weight varying between 1.5 and 2 kg," explains Lamberto Giovanardi.

Mini-watermelons are placed in 40x60 crates and can be priced singly or by weight depending on client preference. The fruits are very much in demand by retailers and will be available until mid-September, as reported by owner Emile Fellini.
The bags are part of the Lo Sceriffo del Campo project by Battista Muraca, which focuses on health education and high-quality productions.
Another product introduced by Fellini is the 250 gram pot with cherry tomatoes of different colors, perfect as a snack.
"This is a peculiar moment for vegetables, as the weather in May caused setting problems. For example, there are very few green tomatoes available and the price is rather high. There are gaps and I believe it will take another 10 days for quality to return in line with previous years."
