Following the enormous success of previous editions of agricultural blueberry seminars in Chile, Spain, Peru, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina, International Agronomic Seminars and AGQ Labs will hold further avocado seminars in Chile and Spain.
The first Spanish avocado seminar was held on May 30th in Seville and the next international avocado technical seminar from Chile will be held on September 3rd at the Enjoy Hotel in Viña del Mar.
This new series of seminars will be held due to the importance of avocado growing at an international level and due to the continuous needs for technical, productive and commercial improvement of the international avocado sector.
This seminar will analyse the new reality of the global avocado market, the current supply and demand and where the sector and the market are going in the coming years. In-depth knowledge will be gained on post-harvest tasks, pesticide residues, curd and calibre in avocados.
Professional experts and academics of great reputation will present the most current and important issues to be taken into account throughout the whole cycle of cultivation and marketing of avocado. Threats such as wood fungi and how to deal with them, reconversion of orchards, irrigation, fertilization and nutrition will be discussed. And also other important considerations the control of añerismo and its adjustment to the handling in each reality, the clonal rootstocks and the productive solutions that offer.
