Netherlands: Remmert Dekker Packaging invests in new packing machine

There is an ever-increasing demand for cardboard packaging. This is due to environmental developments. To develop cardboard packaging better and more effectively, more visibility is needed. Protecting the contents' shelf life is also more important than ever.

Remmert Dekker Packaging wants to serve this market better. To do so, this Dutch company has invested in a new packaging machine. This investment was made for the second half of 2019.

The new packaging machine quickly and precisely inserts film, pads, paper, and labels in packaging. The machine will be put into use from 1 July.

There is an important innovation is that the new machine can also be used for. It sticks a strip of absorption material into the packaging. This pad is very well suited to containers, trays, punnets of fruit-vegetables and soft fruit. Think of blueberries, raspberries, grapes, and strawberries.

The pad material absorbs moisture and has anti-fungal properties. It is also pressure and shock resistant. These properties protect vulnerable types of fruit as well as possible. Pad absorption material is a proven, widely used solution for packaged soft fruit.

This material can be pasted into containers, trays, and punnets of any shape or form. It is available in red and black.
