Spain: New range of 100% vegetable pastas

Bonduelle launches its new Bonduelle Veggie range of pasta and seeds made from 100% vegetables and legumes. Each product combines the full flavour of a vegetable with the satiating power of a legume to prepare original healthy dishes simply and quickly. With the launch of this new Veggie range, Bonduelle wants to encourage new ways of consuming vegetables.

The Bonduelle Veggie line has been available on Carrefour's shelves since April 2019 in the form of five formats: fusilli of chickpeas and corn (250 g), penne of lentils and carrots (250 g), rigatoni of peas and zucchini (250 g), nuggets of lentils and carrots (300 g) and nuggets of peas and zucchini (300 g).

The company thus joins the commitment to a healthier diet. According to data from the Spanish Nutrition Federation, the consumption of vegetables in Spain has fallen dramatically. Specifically in 2018 was consumed 40.4% less than in 1964. Current consumption stands at 269 grams per person per day while the amount recommended by the OMS is 400 grams, which is a problem when it comes to maintaining a balanced diet.
