duisport, Port of Zeebrugge and CSP will work together increasingly in the future

New hinterland connection to the port of Zeebrugge

Duisburger Hafen AG (duisport), the Belgian port of Zeebrugge (Port of Zeebrugge) and the Cosco-Shipping Zeebrugge Terminal (CSP) will work together more and more in the future. A tripartite agreement on the new hinterland connection in combined rail transport has been contracted.

Cosco Shipping Lines recently expanded its activities under the Belt & Road initiative with a weekly ocean-going service from China to Zeebrugge. A weekly shuttle train transports goods between the Cosco-Shipping Zeebrugge Terminal and the Duisburg Intermodal Terminal (DIT) on logport I in the Port of Duisburg.

To a great cooperation (from left to right): Erich Staake, CEO of the duisport Group, David Liu, CEO of CSP Zeebrugge Terminal, Joachim Coens, CEO of Port of Zeebrugge, and Peter Plewa, Managing Director of duisport agency GmbH (dpa). Copyright duisport

The operational handling of the trains are carried out by duisport subsidiary 'duisport agency GmbH' (dpa). The dpa is the central distribution company for solutions relating to transport relations, transport chains and logistics. In doing so, dpa draws on its sound experience in the field of intermodal transport solutions.
