Holy Moly was the first brand in the UK to create fresh avocado-based products using High Pressure Processing (HPP). Now, this brand has announced the launch of a UK-first product into Sainsbury’s stores nationwide. Its goal is to “transform time-poor Brits’ relationship with their favourite fruit, the avocado”.
The new 100% Pure Smashed Avocado (150g tub/ £2.75) offers two sun-ripened and smashed Hass avocados, which are grown, hand-picked and hand-scooped on a four-generation family farm in rural Mexico. The product is free from preservatives, additives, dairy, gluten, is kosher, suitable for vegans and has no added sugar.
Holy Moly said the product will be situated in Sainsbury’s pre-prepared fruit and vegetable aisle to meet the growing demand amongst British consumers for avocados “in a convenient, ready-to-eat format that does not compromise on taste or quality”.
