The countdown is on to Onions Australia’s next Levy Payers’ Day – to be held in Melbourne on Sunday, June 23.
The event will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf), starting at 1pm. There will be a light lunch starting at 12.15pm to kick off proceedings.
The meeting will feature a wrap up of national plantings and production, as well as presentations from OA key sponsors Corteva, Dobmac, Monsanto Seminis, AgNova, EE Muir & Sons and Terranova.
Feature presentations will be made by HIA regarding Taste Australia and the onion export program and a highlight will be the presentation from Onions NZ CEO James Kuperus.
Onions Australia CEO Lechelle Earl said the peak industry body’s first event for the year was shaping to continue the strong work of the Australian onion industry.
“Our industry event will be a successful lead-in session to Hort Connections, of which Onions Australia is again proud to be a co-host,” she said.
“We are honoured to have our New Zealand counterpart Onions NZ in attendance, with not only CEO James Kuperus speaking, but several of his NZ growers also attending.
“Onions Australia is looking forward to once again hosting an informative event, attended by the majority of Australian onion production.”
