Corallo melons introduced by L'Orto di Eleonora

"Summer has already started at L'Orto di Eleonora. We started off with Corallo, a melon with an orange flesh of the 'piel de sapo' variety. Our products also include piel de sapo melons with a white flesh, Eleonora, the seedless black watermelon and Gavina mini-watermelons," explains Salvatore Lotta, sales manager of OP Agricola Campidanese.

Gravina mini-watermelons and Majores melon.

"We have been penalized by the weather of the past few months and, in fact, quantities are not very high. Bad weather lasted until May with low temperatures and rain. The season will peak from June 20th onward. Quality seems great and Brix levels are 16/17° for Corallo melons and 13/14° for Eleonora watermelons."

"This year, we have started working with a Sardinian company specializing in fresh-cut fruit. The agreement envisages the manufacturing of PET containers containing sliced Gavina, Majores, Eleonora and Corallo that will be distributed in the best supermarkets in Sardinia."

From being just a small group of producers, Agricola Campidanese has become the leading PO in Sardinia and commercializes its products under the "L'Orto di Eleonora" brand.

"Thanks to our team of professionals, we try to retain our customers via targeted social media marketing actions. Feedback has been very positive for Corallo melons, as a lot of people have asked where they can find them."
