Buying trip to Costa Rica offered to food and produce companies

Costa Rica invites a select group of companies interested in exploring export potential to San Jose from September 17 to 19, 2019. The 21st Buyers Trade Mission Costa Rica (BTMCR) is one of the largest business conferences in Latin America, according to Procomer - Costa Rica’s trade promotion entity. “This event will once again present a wide variety of options for companies interested in doing business with Costa Rica,” says Pedro Beirute, CEO of Procomer. “It will link qualified buyers from around the world with the best exporters our country has to offer in the food, agriculture, and specialized industry sectors.”

Some of the main produce items of interest from Costa Rica include pineapple, mango, melons, rambutan, squash, yucca, chayote, cabbage, carrots and taro among others. Qualified buyers are hosted with complimentary lodging (one person per company), breakfast and lunch, no registration fees, a welcoming reception and networking cocktail, and scheduled one-on-one meetings with exporters specific to their interest.

Procomer says the one-on-one personalized meetings with Costa Rica´s exporters are of particular value, as well as advice from country experts. “The targeted attention and business linkage a company can receive in this short amount of time is invaluable,” says Beirute. “If you are doing business with Costa Rica or have thought about it, this is an opportunity you shouldn’t miss!”
