Mr. Horst Rieper has resigned as Managing Partner of Schwabfrucht GmbH & Co. KG on March 31, 2019 due to health and age-related reasons. This concludes a 30-year successful career in which Horst Rieper, together with the workforce, always tried to position the Hessian trading company in a dynamic, competitive environment, in a way that was always successful and future-oriented.
"We thank Horst Rieper for the committed work he did for Schwabfrucht in the last three decades," a press release stated.
Jürgen Bruch also retiring
At the same time, Jürgen Bruch also resigned as Managing Director, a position he took up at short notice a year ago after the sudden death of Bernd Hecker, in order to keep Schwabfrucht on course in an exceptional situation. "Jürgen Bruch will continue to provide advice to the company in order to ensure a smooth transition and to accompany the further development of Schwabfrucht. For the assumption of this responsibility on very short notice and his work in this difficult situation, we would like to thank him very much."
Planned investments for expansion
Since February 1, 2019, Stefan Taubert is Managing Director of Schwabfrucht. Stefan Taubert has more than twenty years of experience in the wholesale of fruits and vegetables. "New investments for an expansion of the banana ripening department, a strengthening of the business and a good cooperation with the new majority shareholder, the van Schoonhoven family, will further strengthen Schwabfrucht," the management announced.
"Schwabfrucht will continue to be a shareholder and a key partner of Cobana Hamburg and CF Gastro Berlin."
