According to the BCR, Peruvian non-traditional exports increased by 1.8% between January and April 2019, reaching a value of 4.249 million dollars. The volume shipped increased by 7.6%.
In the first four months of the year, there were higher sales of grapes (18.6%), avocados (8.5%), blueberries (69.4%), and frozen mangoes (4.6%), among other products.
In the last 12 months to April 2019, Peruvian non-traditional exports registered the highest growth (7%) among the main countries of the region.
These types of exports follow a growing trend in countries such as Colombia, Chile, and Mexico.
