Italtrans' new logistic hub, set to become one of the most important on a national level, was inaugurated on 7th June 2019 at Calcio (Bergamo), near the A35 Brescia-Bergamo-Milano highway. The facility covers 150 thousand sq m within a 350 thousand sq m area and employs 630 people.

"We are very pleased with this hub. Its purpose is to improve the logistic efficiency of all of northern Italy, as its strategic location has made it appealing to international companies. We have managed to finish it in just two years," explained CEO Laura Bertulessi.
Calcio Mayor Elena Comendulli thanked Italtrans for the investment made on the territory "as well as that made by all the businesses that are settling in the area, thus creating jobs and a renewed economic wealth."
At the moment, in addition to Italtrans, the Dole, Amazon, Sma-SimplyAuchan and Brivio&Viganò facilities are also found there, and MD and Esselunga will open facilities soon. The twenty centers (6 of which are already up and running) have made over €900 million worth of investments in the area, as well as €22.6 million worth of development fees paid to the Municipalities and have generated over 3,600 jobs, confirming once again that it is the large infrastructures that generate growth, development and competitiveness.
Italtrans counts a fleet with over 800 vehicles with isothermal, refrigerated and tarpaulined units. Italtrans was established in 1985 and had a single truck, a second-hand Fiat 170 that transported produce between Bergamo and Milan every day. Year after year, it acquired new clients as well as the main producers connected with the retail chain.
