Extensive reconstruction and modernization

Landgard opens first "Fresh Market Fruit & Vegetables" in Dresden

After intensive renovation work, Landgard will open the first new "fresh produce market" on June 13, 2019 in Dresden. On an area of 3,100 square meters, customers an expect to see a modern, new market design, a revised customer guidance system in the market, new furniture, attractive thematic product presentations with highlighted products and other special promotions, as well as uniform product labeling and signage, both in the market and on the entire wholesale market area the Spitzhausstraße in Dresden. The sales continues in parallel with the restructuring of the market.

"In the months following the opening on June 13, it's time to test the new ideas. The new fresh produce market Fruit & Vegetables is now creating an optimized shopping experience for fruit and vegetables in the area of flowers and plants, following the example of the cash & carry future markets Herongen and Neuss, and aims for an advanced and modern marketing of fruit and vegetables. It is a matter of the heart to us to implement this fruit and vegetable successfully ", says Bernd Meinen, Managing Director of Landgard Ost Obst & Gemüse GmbH. In time, the other fruit and vegetable markets of Landgard in East Germany will be rebuilt and modernized, following the Dresden example.

Special inspirational and conceptual surfaces
"In the design of the new fresh fruit & vegetables market, we are geared to the look of the cash & carry future markets in Herongen and Neuss. The bold visual line pulls people in with colorful illustrations on a 'black surface in slate' look that is both conspicuous as well as a sympathetic basic element throughout the design of the whole market. In addition to this, special inspiration and concept areas will be integrated in several places where we will be able to offer changing presentations on seasonal articles and Landgard license co-operations throughout the year," said Labinot Elshani, chief representative of Fruit & Vegetables at Landgard.

Landgard will have a festive opening of the "Fresh Fruit & Vegetables Market" on 13th June in the Dresdner Markt together with customers, producers, employees and other invited guests. On the opening day, Landgard will also be offering customers attractive discount promotions.
