Chinese ginger price grows stronger

According to Jiang7.com, traders with storage space began to make their voices heard in the ginger market from the end of April onward. The price of ginger began to rise last week. Even though the increase is not large, the development is strong. The price of ginger showed an upward trend in Anqiu, Qingzhou, Pingdu, Laizhou, Tangshan, Rushan, and Jun County. While the price was only firm earlier this season, now the price increase becomes substantial. The price increase stems solely from the relation between supply and demand.

Farmers who observed the strong market price hesitate to sell too much stock because they hope the price will rise even further. At the same time, the asking price is high and strong. The supply of ginger is considered limited. Demand does not yet exceed supply, but farmers are hesitant to sell too much and buyers are unwilling to pay high prices. Farmers and buyers lack the stamina for long trade negotiations, but in the end, buyers need to secure ginger supply. According to Jiang7.com, the price of ginger remains strong and is likely to increase even further in the short term.
