Too few Norwegian cucumbers to meet demand

The supply of Norwegian cucumbers is a little too low to meet the high demand. This means there is room for imports. Next week, tomato prices will fall to more in line with those of the imported product. The quality of these Norwegian tomatoes is good, as are sales.

Meanwhile, organic arugula has come onto the market in this Scandinavian country. Organic iceberg lettuce will follow shortly. Organic celeriac stocks are just about exhausted.

Full ground chives, dill, and curly-leaf parsley will make their way into supermarkets this week. Fresh kohlrabi is expected to be available in about three weeks. Until then, there is still sufficient kohlrabi in the storage warehouses.

Fresh carrots are expected in roughly a week. New Norwegian carrots will come onto the market in mid-June. There is still some demand for Norwegian asparagus. The asparagus season will still last for approximately three weeks in that country.

In Norway, cauliflower, white cabbage, and Chinese cabbage are in the initial stages of harvesting. It will not be long before the first of these products appear in stores. Iceberg lettuce harvesting is also well on its way.
