Matthew Hendrickson joins USApple

The U.S. Apple Association (USApple) has announced that Matthew Hendrickson will join the organization in the newly created position of Manager of Association Services. USApple says Hendrickson brings a wealth of experience in association and nonprofit management, including member development, program administration, business operations and board governance.

Hendrickson comes to USApple from the association management consulting firm Interel Group US, where he served as a client-facing liaison between association members, volunteers and management services. As an association coordinator at Interel, Hendrickson specialized in business operations, finance and project management. His portfolio at USApple will draw on his nonprofit experience to include financial and office management; meeting logistics and program support, including Young Apple Leaders, Capitol Hill Day, Apples4Ed and the Market News Report; and congressional visit and political action committee coordination.

“Matt’s strong background in the nonprofit landscape and data analysis will be a huge asset for USApple as we continue to strategically align the management of day-to-day operations with the growth and cultivation of our bigger picture programs and activities,” said USApple President and CEO Jim Bair. “We are excited for this new position at USApple as Matt’s multi-faceted knowledge and experience will add value to the USApple membership.”

With a Bachelor of Science from Radford University, the organization shared that Hendrickson has honed his passion for both the outdoors and nonprofit services into a flourishing career. He has held management positions in parks as well as at the iconic Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming and West Virginia’s Snowshoe Mountain Resort.

“I am thrilled to join the USApple team and expand my nonprofit work into the agriculture sector,” said Hendrickson. “I look forward to continuing my career in association management with an organization that represents the quintessential American staple—the apple.”

Hendrickson joins USApple on June 10.
