There is an overlap between preserved garlic and fresh garlic in the market. Traders in both the export market and the domestic market purchase preserved garlic and fresh garlic. However, buyers are not eager to buy preserved garlic and their purchase volume is small. Sellers are eager to clear out their warehouses, but the price of top-quality preserved garlic remains strong. Speculating traders wait to see how the market develops. The domestic purchase volume of preserved garlic declined. Some of the visiting traders who purchased preserved garlic have now left. As a result, the trade volume declined and the price also slightly dropped. In some markets the trade volume of fresh garlic is already larger than the trade volume of preserved garlic. As fresh garlic gradually replaces preserved garlic, the price of preserved garlic will fall even further.
