The supply seasons of different lemon varieties have recently started. The Eureka lemon variety is the most popular variety in the Chinese lemon market. The Eureka lemon has a bright yellow, thick fruit peel. The fragrance is strong and the fruit is juicy. The harvest season of Eureka lemons generally begins around October and lasts until December. Mr. Wang Guolong of Chongqing Huida Lemon Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd. The Eureka lemon is more popular in overseas markets, and is gaining popularity in the Chinese market. We expect our export volume this year to grow by 5,000 tons in comparison with last year. We benefit from stable relations with regular clients. We were also successful in opening up new markets in Russia and Indonesia."
Fresh lemons
"We export our lemons to various overseas markets under our own registered brand name 'HD Lemon'. We have a stable position in overseas markets because for many years now we have supplied lemons that are of better quality than the lemons of other suppliers, and we have created a strong brand. The price fluctuations are minimal in the lemon export market. The current export price of Chinese lemons is only slightly higher than last year."
HD Lemon is based in Tongnan, Chongqing. The company owns more than 21,333 hectares of lemon plantation. Some of the plantation is directly managed by the company, while the rest is managed in cooperation with local partners. HD Lemon sells in the domestic market through such e-commerce platforms as JD and Tmall.
