On 19 March this year, Hiebers' Frische Center KG opened its new market in Müllheim. With a sales area of more than 3,400 square meters and an assortment of around 48,000 items, the market management together with its 142 employees strives to contribute significantly to the local supply in the region.

In the first months after the opening, the main focus was on the assortment -i.e. organic products and regional fresh produce. A total of 198 suppliers from the surrounding area bring their products to the 14 stores of the merchants. The hallmark of the vegetable department is the vertical positioning of goods in glass cabinets. Some of the herbs and greens are growing here, on the spot, in the market. This has been made possible by a partnership with the internationally successful start-up company InFarm from Berlin.

Weekly market flair with fresh food counters and Veggiebags
The market visitors are greeted by a large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, including a salad and antipasti bar. On request, the customer can bring along a reusable container for shopping at the fresh food counters, have their goods packaged in it, thus helping to reduce waste packaging. For fruit and vegetables, there are so-called Veggibags in the market.
