Liu, a spokesperson for the National Bureau of Statistics of China, stated on May 15th, that the fruit price continued to rise mainly as a result of extreme weather conditions combined with the regular, seasonal price increase. The seasonal price increase, however, is only temporary. The price of fresh fruit will not maintain its high position. The overall price will not increase much as a result of inflation. The average price is stable and strong.
