The Tunisian Trade Office resumes banana imports

In Tunisia, the Trade Office has decided to resume banana imports after 19 years of absence.

The board's base union has announced that it will offer "reasonable prices". Thus, a kilo of bananas will be available from the 14th of May 2019, at 3.9 dinars.

It should be noted that in the 2018 Finance Law, the customs duty on a kilo of bananas increases from 0.5 to 0.6 dinar. Since then, prices have continued to rise, reaching 6.5 dinars and 7 dinars.
