This important event was the ideal stage to present the innovations proposed by the Unitec Group in order to increase the competitiveness of Packing Houses and to bring tangible improvements to their business and revenues. Spotlights were on the UNIQ range technologies, the latest innovation created by Unitec with a highly performing system for the internal quality selection of apples, plums and kiwis.
During this event, Unitec exhibited some protagonists of the Unitec wide range technologies: UNIQ Apples, UNIQ Kiwi and UNIQ Plum for the internal quality selection of apples, kiwis and plums as also
Pears Sort 3, a technology designed to detect the different quality classes of pears.

The UNIQ range technologies were created exactly with this purpose: to allow the Packing Houses to respect the deal with the final Consumer.”

Presented and launched into the international market during Fruit Logistica 2019, the UNIQ range technologies select the internal fruit quality with extreme gentleness and at the same time with unprecedented reliability and precision.
Outcome of the continuous innovation pursued by UNITEC R&D department and 100% internally developed, the UNIQ range technologies allow to reveal every secret of the fruits they were designed for.
Pears Sort 3
Pears Sort 3 is an innovative Unisorting technology created by the Unitec Group that detects the different quality classes of pears with extreme precision and reliability. It is a very versatile multi-analytical technology suitable for almost all types of pears. Just like all the UNIQ range technologies, Pears Sort 3 stands out for the total non-invasiveness of the selection process: the organoleptic characteristics of the fruit are completely preserved.
On July 16th 2018, in one of the factories of Diamond Fruit Growers Packing House, located in Hood River Valley in the state of Oregon, the first highly specialized plant for the processing and quality selection of pears was inaugurated: an 18-lane line equipped with Pears Sort 3 technology.
The protagonists of the Unitec stand at this Macfrut edition were the UNIQ range technologies designed for apples, kiwis and plums as also Pears Sort 3 system designed for pears, even though Unitec Group is also specialized in several other fresh fruit and vegetable processing and quality selection technologies: Cherry Vision 3.0 and UNIQ Cherry for cherries, Blueberry Vision 3 for blueberries, Orange Vision 3, Lemon Vision 3 and Mandarin Vision 3 for citrus fruits, Peach Vision 3 and Apricot Vision 3 for stone fruits, etc.
