New software system "ThermoDAN" will be presented at transport logistic

M3 software monitors the cold chain

Together with ESYS GmbH and under the name "ThermoDAN", the Dr. Malek Software company will be presenting a mobile data logger for recording temperature values in transport containers at the transport logistic trade fair in Munich (June 4 to 7). The ThermoDAN complements the telematics solution M3 Telematicware, which complies with the GDPS standard required in pharmaceutical logistics. In the reception warehouse, the temperature profile of the entire trip  can be read out fully automatically and transmitted to the M3 platform via a gateway. The innovation is available in two versions, which differ in the type of data transmission. One can choose between Bluetooth 4.x with a range of up to ten meters and the LoRa technology (long range), with which the data can be transmitted more than 100 meters. Dr. Malek Software and ESYS exhibit in Hall A3, Stand 102.

When the data logger approaches a gateway, the data is automatically read out and transferred to the cloud-based M3 platform. There, the data is assigned to the respective tours, archived at the consignment or package level and made available to the dispatchers.

Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
The ThermoDAN covers a temperature range of -25o to +75oCelsius and is therefore suitable for use with the mobile order management of the M3 App for cold chain monitoring in pharmaceutical, food and fresh food logistics. The solution complies with the EU Good Distribution Practice (GDP) directive. The aim of the GDP directive is to maintain the quality and integrity of pharmaceutical products along the entire value chain, from the manufacturer to the patient.

The datalogger does not incur any running costs and can be accommodated in every transport container and on each loading platform without fixed installation. The device developed by ESYS GmbH works independently of location and without mains voltage. The built-in battery has a life of several years before it can be easily replaced. The housing of the ThermoDAN is protected against dust and splashing water. The integrated PT100 temperature sensor meets all GDP requirements regarding measuring principle, measuring range and accuracy.

Standardized order processing
With the ThermoDAN supplements Malek's range of solutions for the M3 platform as well as the telematics solution M3 Telematicware with the universal M3 app. This offers a mobile and standardized order processing for all types of road haulage. The spectrum ranges from cargo and part load traffic via groupage transport to courier and CEP services.

The M3 platform completes the extensive software portfolio of Dr. Ing. Malek. The M3 platform was developed for logistics service providers, shippers and logistics networks who need to exchange their process data reliably and quickly with their logistics partners while working with different IT systems. The solution is supplemented by online services such as the order entry M3 Weborder, the Tracking System M3 Webtracing or the M3 inventory information.

Acceleration of the billing process
It was only in February that Dr. Malek introduced new features of the M3 platform. As a result, external partners such as customers and subcontractors as well as their own drivers are integrated even better into the process chain. In addition to capturing and tracking shipments or providing labels, contractors can now also upload delivery notes to the platform, which are automatically linked to the corresponding order data. The same applies to the delivery documents, which can now be uploaded by own drivers or subcontractors, which significantly speeds up the billing process.

Another novelty concerns the integration of the data from the M3 platform into the respective merchandise management system of the client. Via a data link, shippers can retrieve the logistics process information they require without having to log on to the M3 platform.
