Obeikan remains committed to internationalization at Macfrut

The sustainable packaging company Obeikan MDF, property of the Obeikan Group, will be present as an exhibitor at the 36th edition of the Macfrut fair, which will be held from 8 to 10 May in Rimini, Italy.

Obeikan MDF, which will be at Hall D3, stand 031, continues with its expansion strategy, attending all the biggest events in the food sector worldwide. After the successful presence at Fruit Attraction, Fruit Logistica or the Global Berry Congress, the company continues to promote its packaging, this time in the renowned Italian event. The ultimate goal is to be present with its boxes in all corners of the globe.

Obeikan is traveling to Rimini to be present at a fair which is usually mostly attended by Italian exhibitors and buyers, but which is going for a more international approach than ever this time. The event's organizers consider the event's internationalization a key and fundamental objective for its continuity, as well as for the expansion of the Italian fruit and vegetable sector. Moreover, Macfrut 2019 is again hosting the Tropical Congress, which is of special interest to Obeikan, which has already managed to adapt its packaging to the demands of all types of customers and products.

The growing demand in the world market for products such as avocados or mangoes, or the careful product display which helps in brand differentiation, make it a segment of special interest for us. For years, tropical exporters and producers have relied on us to reach new markets, and we continue to grow, adding more products and new formats to our portfolio," says Salvador Martínez.

Expansion plan: Objectives for 2020
In addition to dealing with the United Kingdom and Germany, which are the main customers of the Region of Valencia, Obeikan intends to continue with its global expansion plan and will use Macfrut as a springboard to also reach eastern European countries, the Persian Gulf (UAE, Bahrain, Qatar), India, North Africa and South East Asia, which have already confirmed their presence at the Italian event.

The upward trend in sustainability, respect for the environment and the reuse of packaging by consumers entails that Obeikan is offering added value to its customers, helping them improve their competitiveness in the international markets. Moreover, the durability of the containers makes them the ideal option for the shipment of fresh produce over short, medium and long distances.

Given these forecasts, Obeikan is traveling to Italy with good prospects and with an eye on making its packaging better known among the more than 1,500 guest buyers from all over the world who are expected to attend the event.
