China's Xinfadi Market has nearly 18,000 hectares of overseas plantations

The annual volume of fruit imported to Beijing Xinfadi Market grows every year as the average income of consumers continues to rise. The Xinfadi Market has already established its own plantations in more than 8 countries, including the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand, to guarantee low prices and high quality for fruit imported to Beijing. The overall surface area of these overseas plantations is around 17,933 hectares. The main products include durian, bananas, dragon fruit, watermelons, and green soy beans.

China is the largest export market for Vietnam. All agricultural products that enter the Chinese market must adhere to strict standards and be registered with the Ministry of Agriculture. Only after products obtain import permission can they enter the Chinese market. Vietnam has permission to export the following fresh fruits to the Chinese market: dragon fruit, watermelons, rambutan, mangoes, lychee, longan, bananas, and jackfruit. Vietnam is planning to expand their export activities to China with the following fresh fruits: durian, mangosteen, passion fruit, grapefruit, avocado, coconuts, and lemons.
