Cecelia Packing Corporation would like to announce the retirement of Sales Manager, Mr. Randy Jacobson. Randy is retiring from the company after 24 years of service.
In 1975, Randy began his career in the Des Moines, Iowa district sales office for Sunkist Growers. There he learned about the fresh citrus business while in a sales role. With an interest to relocate to California, in 1982 Randy moved his family to Fullerton, CA to work for Blue Goose Growers. From Blue Goose he made a move to Superior Farming Company, Bakersfield, CA where he learned about selling and marketing grapes, stone fruit, and Mexican vegetables. From there it was on to work with Riverbend Farms in Sanger, CA, where he sold fresh citrus. Upon Riverbend's closing, he worked for a couple of companies before settling into his head sales position with Cecelia Packing.
Cecelia Packing said it is thankful for Jacobson's hard work, and for his effort in developing innovative brands such as Sky Valley™ brand Heirloom Navel oranges, Cecelia Packing “Pink is the New Orange™” Cara Cara oranges, and Dimples™ brand Gold Nugget Mandarins.
Randy’s future plans include enjoying time with his wife Connie, traveling, and golfing with his buddies. Cecelia Packing would like to wish Randy the best in his retirement.
With Jacobson leaving the company, Cecelia Packing has promoted salesman Keith Wilson to Sales Manager. Additionally, Jim Saavedra has joined Cecelia Packing in a sales role.
