The group will promote transparency and market information

Spain: Working group on citrus fruits from the 'Observatory of the Food Chain'

This past Wednesday, the General Director of the Food Industry and president of the Observatory of the Food Chain, José Miguel Herrero, presided over the constitution of a working group on citrus fruits within the Observatory of the Food Chain.

The meeting also served to establish a working group on transparency that aims to analyze and discuss possible ways to improve transparency and market information along sectoral food chains.

The objective is to use these technical groups to maintain "permanent communication" around topics that are of general interest, or that can "respond to specific needs" of the agro-food chain. The group on transparency has been constituted with the support of more than 34 members and the presence of representatives of autonomous regions, other ministerial departments and the Information and Food Control Agency (AICA)
