300 people from 8 countries heading for International Avocado Seminar in Seville

The first International Avocado Seminar, which will be held in Seville and is organized by AGQ Labs, will be, no doubt, a success. The organization expects to close the enrolment in the coming days, since more than 80% of the available places have been covered one month after the opening of inscriptions. The people enrolled include professionals from Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Italy, Chile, Peru, Mexico, and Kenya.

The intervention of Armando Lopez Orduña, General Director of the Association of Producers and Packers Exporters of Avocado of Mexico (APEAM), has awakened a special interest among the attendees. Mexico is the world's leading producer of avocados, and Lopez Orduña will address current trends in the green gold market, as many call this fruit.

There will also be speakers from Spain, Chile, and Peru who will discuss technical issues, such as diseases, irrigation, pruning, and nutrition. The event has twenty sponsors who will offer technical and commercial information to the attendees. According to Pedro Torres, the coordinator of the seminar, AGQ Labs hopes that this event will put the entire value chain of this crop in contact, and that the main producers and distributors at an international level can transfer all the knowledge they have accumulated to them.
