With the typical French tradition of Gigot Bitume and the German tradition of setting up of a fir on the roof, NORMA FRANCE has completed the shell of its future Headquarters in Sarrebourg. As a reminder: Construction began on September 24, 2018, the laying of the foundation stone followed on October 26, 2018.
Now the time had come for the 
finishing ceremony of the ultra-modern building complex, which took place in the presence of numerous guests.
French customers will soon benefit even more from this location in the "Porte des Vosges" industrial park in Sarrebourg. With the new branch office of NORMA FRANCE, the logistical foundation stone was laid for further expansion in the Alsace/Lorraine, Champagne and Bourgogne Franche-Comté regions. The invitation of Julia Auerswald, branch manager of NORMA FRANCE and Nicolas Foubard, managing director of developer Cubic 33, was followed not only by the companies involved in the construction, but also by suppliers and more than 250 guests from politics, business and commerce.
Warehouse and place of business
The new warehouse covers an area of over 21,000 square meters and will have 53 loading ramps and 3 separate storage areas. Ultimately, this warehouse can supply more than 200 stores. The ultramodern business and administrative headquarters on 3,600 square meters comprises 4 floors, in which all departments of NORMA FRANCE are housed. Overall, there will be about 180 employees necessary at the site.
With the latest technology into the future
In all new building parts, environmental friendliness and comfortable working comfort are implemented through the latest, state of the art technology. For creativity and efficient teamwork, a generous amount of space is provided in each individual department.
As in every new NORMA building, in Sarrebourg only environmentally friendly and future-oriented technologies are used: a heat pump manages the heating of the 3,200 m² administrative building. Each part of the building, like the administration, the logistics hall (20,000 square meters of storage space and 2,000 square meters for ancillary rooms) and the cold store (4,060 square meters and 1,120 square meters for deep freezing) are insulated at the highest energy-saving level.
Of course, there is a trend-setting CO² system for heat recovery, the extensive LED lighting and the daylight volume controlled lighting in the warehouse complex. At the same time, NORMA in Sarrebourg is making clear its point of view for the drive technologies of the future - visitors to the new French country headquarters will also be provided with charging stations for electric vehicles in the outdoor parking areas.
Best conditions for successful expansion
The new headquarters of NORMA in Sarrebourg underlines how ambitious the discounter from Germany plans his future in France. The logistics platform, which was completed in November 2019, is already designed to supply over 200 NORMA branches. In addition, the area purchased from NORMA reserves additional space for expansion.
NORMA FRANCE in Sarrebourg is conveniently located in the commercial area "Porte des Vosges" on the four-lane national road RN4. Directly in the vicinity of the area bought by NORMA, an attractive mixed-use development has been created, of which a brand-new NORMA branch will soon be part.
Further expansion and future course

At the international level, discounter NORMA is also active in the Czech Republic and Austria. In Germany, the retail company recently underlined its expansion and future course with the completely new administrative and logistics centers in Dummerstorf, Erfurt, Fürth, Magdeburg, Aichach and Rheinböllen, as well as with the new headquarters in Fürth.
