Thanks to the state-of-the-art facility inaugurated a few months ago, Vignali Trasporti - one of the leading specialized logistic companies in the fresh produce sector - can now provide immediate responses that fully respect timeframes.
The new controlled-temperature warehouse features 30 new loading ramps, meaning Vignali can manage any organisational and transport need.
"We manage around 200 vehicles and can cover all of Italy. A few months ago we have even started catering to Sardinia. We have around 50 direct employees and 300 people work with us," explains partner Vanni Vignali.
In addition to Vanni, the partners are Fabio Vignali, Samuele Zanelli, Claudio Carpinelli and Katia Nunziatini. "During the first few months of 2019, we have consolidated the turnover in Italy and we are growing abroad as well. We have a base in Perpignan, a French city near the border with Spain, which we use to organize imports and exports," explains Agostino Vignola from the sales office.
One of the company's characteristics is to have lorries with two drivers, so they can cover long transfers. France mainly imports organic produce and quantities are increasing. In Perpignan, the Italian produce is sorted to the north or the south of the country or to Spain.
"The new management system will become functional in the next few months, which will in turn enhance our efficiency. Nothing is standardized but we adapt to specific client needs day after day."
"We are pleased with the relationship we establish with our clients. For example, the logistic manager of a big company was with us for a few days and was therefore able to see how we work, understand our difficulties and realize the commitment it takes every day to make everything run smoothly."
