Italian Ambrosia apple: end of season as planned, again positive results

Another commercial season is coming to an end for the Ambrosia apple, which has been able to find its own spaces for further development in the framework of a more and more critical European apple-growing campaign.

Marco Rivoira, of the eponymous company: "For apples, it is not generally an easy season but, with Ambrosia, we were able to manage quality and availability correctly from the beginning. This allowed us to keep the commercial calendar in line with what was planned, guaranteeing the quality that customers and consumers expect. In recent weeks, we finished the season with the latest deliveries scheduled for the main European countries that have worked constantly with Ambrosia™, namely Italy, Spain and Germany. All three gave us good feedback for the development of the variety, even very good in the case of Germany, which showed enthusiasm for the variety and constantly growing volumes.

Fabio Zanesco, sales director of VI.P Val Venosta: " About us, we can say that even the last product is now calibrated and we are confirming deliveries, so everything is as expected both in terms of quantity and sales schedule. In addition to the markets mentioned by Marco Rivoira, excellent results have also come from the Middle East and from Asia, where we sent the expected volumes with positive results. In the next few weeks, we will therefore also run out of last availability and then we will devote ourselves to planning the next campaign. Our volumes will be growing thanks to the entry into production of other plants, so we certainly have work to do".

The two partners: "Also from a marketing point of view, we are thinking about the professional support we want to provide our customers/distributors, especially in terms of activities in the stores, which we think may be the key to providing even more consumers with the opportunity to taste Ambrosia and become supporters.
