"The meeting was attended by approximately 50 Ethiopian businesses, importers of equipment, producers and government bodies. Many will attend Macfrut in Rimini. The event features a company presentation in the morning and B2B meetings in the afternoon," explained president Enrico Turoni.
Fair in Zambia
On Tuesday 9th, there were two visits to companies producing strawberries, flowers and vegetable products located near the Ethiopian capital.

Further meetings took place on Wednesday 10th April and, in the evening, the Italian delegation moved to Zambia to take part in the Agritech fair in Chisamba. Zambia offers considerable opportunities in the agricultural sector despite the country's financial situation.
"We have decided to embark on this mission in Ethiopia and Zambia due to the pressure of our partner companies and thanks to Macfrut's initiatives of the past few years, which have made African countries aware of what Italy can offer from the point of view of technology and production. For example, apples and kiwis from both hemispheres can be found in sub-Saharan supermarkets depending on the season."
