Chinese bayberries enter market with high opening price

Bayberries are brightly colored, juicy, sweet and sour, and rich in nutrients. Chinese bayberries ripen when the fruit season is slow, and they are quite popular with consumers. The bayberries currently on the market in Guangxi come from production areas in Yunnan and from Yulin in Guangxi. They currently are one of the best-selling fruits in the market. The price is still quite high because the bayberries only just entered the market. Yunnan bayberries cost around 10-15 yuan [1.49-2.24 USD] per 0.5 kg and Yulin bayberries cost around 5 yuan [0.75 USD] per 0.5 kg. Chinese bayberries are expected to arrive on the market in large volumes in early May and at that time the price will come down.
