On March 28, 2019, Panalpina Chile,Vice President Felipe Olavarria , Air Transport Leader Leonardo Reyes, and Director of the Greater China Property Industry Lin Jianyu, visited the Kingship Chile S.p.a. in Curicó, receiving a warm welcome from Jack Wei, who is Vice President of Kingship Chile and Chilean Projects leader. The two parties discussed the cold chain logistics business, such as ocean freight, maritime transport and air, and reached a broad consensus.

The main product for Kingship Chile S.p.a. is cherries. These cherries are exported from Chile to China and the volumes are increasing every year. To better supply the Chinese market, this new cooperation was established. Mr. Li said: “We import cherries from Chile every year and every year the demand is very high. The method of transport is an important part of our business, since cherries are a very delicate product and they need good temperature management and fast shipment to reach China in the best condition. We think with our new cooperation we can make all this possible. For the coming cherry season this year, we are therefore looking into doing more air freight at the beginning of the season and continue with ocean freight later on.”
