International Asparagus Days to be held at the end of October in Angers

With 2,000 tons per year grown on 300 ha, the Maine-et-Loire department is the 3rd largest producer in France, after the Landes (3,300 t, 600 ha) and the Gard (2,100 t, 420 ha). Fleuron d’Anjou is the largest operator of the asparagus market in the department.

It is in this context that the International Asparagus Days (IAD) will be held in October. Christian Befve, an international consultant, based in Bordeaux (33), will be present at the opening. Sival and the Italian Macfrut exhibition are partners. Since 2018, the IAD has been hosted alternately either in Cesena (Italy) or in Angers. The entire sector will be present at the show, which will be held at the exhibition center.

France is the 4th biggest producer in Europe, with 20,000 tons per year, after Germany, Spain and Italy.
