Lidl has recently opened a new regional logistics platform in Cestas, in the region of Bordeaux.
With more than 5 hectares of facilities (559,723 square feet, including 21,526 square feet for regional management offices) and possibilities of expansion on 12 more hectares, the new platform replaces the one in Cadaujac, which could not be extended.
It employs 190 people and will serve 72 Lidl supermarkets in the Aquitaine region. It also has ambitions in terms of sustainable development, environmentally and socially: heat recovery, rainwater, natural and LED light, photovoltaic panels, natural fluids to produce cold, waste recovery (also from stores), versatile work, no robots...
Located in the business area of Jarry Pot-au-Pin, largely dedicated to logistics, it is close to Cdiscount, La Poste, Décathlon. Every day, 35 trucks cover 90 rounds.
