Without any significant changes, the potato market of 2018/19 is sliding towards the end of the season. From marketers, the dwindling quantities are being continuously sold to the food trade. The ranges are being increasingly restricted. Within the offerings, large calibres are still somewhat more abundant than medium-sized ones. In the supermarkets, local produce is more and more often is supplemented by old harvest French potatoes.
New potatoes from the Mediterranean are also gaining in popularity with consumers. The prices for the last batches remain unchanged.
